3: INTERNATIONAL SANDWICH DAY

International Sandwich day is celebrated on the birthday of the Earl of Sandwich, who created the first sandwich. According to legend, the Earl refused to leave the table during an all-night card game. Hungry, he asked his servants to put meat between two slices of bread, so that he could eat with one hand and play cards with the other! And the sandwich was born.
Did you know that the world's largest sandwich measured 3.48 m x 4.87 m with an overall thickness of 66.36 cm and weighed 3,178 kilos? It was made by Grupo Bimbo in Zocalo, Mexico city, Mexico on 4th April, 2004.

21: WORLD TELEVISION DAY

The 21st November is World Television Day, commemorating the date on which the first World Television Forum was held at the United Nations. The day encourages global exchanges of television programmes focusing on issues such as peace, security, economic and social development and cultural exchanges.
